Hidden-tang knives
This style features a solid brass bolster, micarta spacer and solid hardwood handle with a single brass pin. This timeless handle design is light and durable with a nice balance centered by the brass, which will also patina attractively with time.
full-tang knives
The classic full-tang design is characterized by an uninterrupted steel profile of blade and handle. The steel bolsters are riveted onto the tang for a permanent mechanical bond and hand-filed with graceful adornment. The hardwood scales are counterbored for brass corby bolts, which provide additional mechanical durability.
